Entangled: A Chronicle of Late Love by Don Asher and Lois Goodwill, Heyday Press, $14.95 (paperback). This 124-page gem is the nonfiction account of a love triangle that recently played out in the Bay Area, including Marin. Sound interesting already? Larkspur Past and Present: A History and Walking Guide by Helen Heitkamp and Richard Cunningham, Larkspur Heritage Preservation Board, $35/$25. Quaint and quiet Larkspur? Not entirely true: San Quentin, a brickyard, an airfield plus “bootleggers and prizefighters” are all covered in this beautifully done fourth edition.

The Good Daughter: A Memoir of My Mother’s Hidden Life by Jasmin Darznik, Grand Central Publishing, $24.99. After honing her writing skills in the coffee lounge at Book Passage, Darznik is now a best-selling author whose memoir recounts her mother’s life in Iran.
