Entangled: A Chronicle of Late Love by Don Asher and Lois Goodwill, Heyday Press, $14.95 (paperback). This 124-page gem is the nonfiction account of a love triangle that recently played out in the Bay Area, including Marin. Sound interesting already? Now factor in that the participants are all in their 70s and 80s.

Larkspur Past and Present: A History and Walking Guide by Helen Heitkamp and Richard Cunningham, Larkspur Heritage Preservation Board, $35/$25. Quaint and quiet Larkspur? Not entirely true: San Quentin, a brickyard, an airfield plus “bootleggers and prizefighters” are all covered in this beautifully done fourth edition.

The Good Daughter: A Memoir of My Mother’s Hidden Life by Jasmin Darznik, Grand Central Publishing, $24.99. After honing her writing skills in the coffee lounge at Book Passage, Darznik is now a best-selling author whose memoir recounts her mother’s life in Iran.
