Unmask Your Imagination at the Sausalito Art Festival Carnevale Gala

This year’s black tie gala and opening night party for the Sausalito Art Festival promises to be an elegant evening of masquerade. As always, it is the Friday night before the festival launches on Labor Day weekend, August 29.

Think New Orleans Mardi Gras, Venetian Masquerade, Brazilian Carnival and samba. Dress to the nines and come incognito in an outrageous mask. Who knows what could happen?

In addition to trying to figure out who’s who, it’s an exclusive opportunity to preview the art of the 260 artists exhibiting, stroll the scenic waterfront festival grounds during a sumptuous cocktail reception, savor a fabulous dinner by Dan McCall and dance to the incredible Dick Bright band and orchestra. Mix and mingle with the artists and the who’s who of Sausalito and Marin.

Wayne Kaleck (of Gene Hiller and Shoe Stories of Sausalito fame) is chairing the event again this year so it promises to be another memorable extravaganza. This man knows how to throw a glamorous (and that’s Glamorous with a capital G) and outrageously fun party.

There are still lots of perks and sponsorship opportunities available and this event always sells out, so get tickets or sponsorship information by emailing [email protected].  Better yet, put together a table of your own revelers. You won’t be disappointed.

Proceeds from the event benefit the art festival foundation’s Artists Teaching Art program that connects young students in Marin County schools with working artists who teach the children new skills to promote their creative expression.
