The Sausalito Art Festival is Coming up!

The Sausalito Art Festival, Marin Magazine

The 66th annual Sausalito Art Festival is coming back this Labor Day weekend at Marinship Park, Sausalito, where visitors can enjoy great food, music and coastal views while exploring the city’s diverse and expansive art scene. The triple-threat event will be on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (September 1-3, 2018).

A visual feast for the eyes, the festival will feature over 250 artists and 24 different art mediums. Art enthusiasts are free to peruse and strike up a conversation with the makers at pop-up booths to learn about their inspiration and vision. And if you’ve been to one fair from a previous year, you have not been to them all. Featured artists vary every year, as does the range and quality of art.

More of a dancer? Don’t worry—the festival doesn’t leave any bases uncovered. Mainstage headliners and other stage musicians will perform onstage, and for specific details, you can check out the music entertainment schedule here. Indulge in an abundant array of gourmet bites, fine wine, champagne, beer and premium beverages while walking along the gorgeous Sausalito waterfront. For an impromptu picnic, take a seat right along the Sausalito shore and clink glasses with your plus one.

We should also mention that if you go, you’re not only going for yourself; the festival’s proceeds will go towards raising money for art scholarships, community programs and Artists Teaching Art in local schools. With every margarita and pulled pork sandwich purchase, you can be sure that every dollar you spend will go far.
