The legendary author Thomas McNamee takes on our much-beloved, often mysterious feline companions in his latest book The Inner Life of Cats which he will be discussing at Book Passage By-the-Bay in Sausalito next Tuesday, March 28 at 6 p.m. -- 100 Bay Street on the downtown Sausalito waterfront.

The book is an affectionate yet realistic portrait of felis silvestris catus offering scientific and historical insights into these furry enigmas, but also engaging anecdotes about his cat Augusta and their personal journey together. McNamee also cites animal behavioral experts, activists and researchers, and offers his own advice on the care and feeding of cats, all of which promises to bring us a happier, more harmonious relationship with our feline friends.

Come meet this cat lover who is also a much-acclaimed, prolific and versatile author, having written about wolves, grizzly bears, natural history, preserving wilderness area, Alice Waters, the food revolution, and Craig Claiborne. He has also produced an award-winning PBS documentary on Alexander Calder. You won’t be disappointed.
