Head to Hopmonk Novato this Saturday for the fundraiser — which will showcase a slew of Bay Area singer/songwriters — with all proceeds benefitting the SF-Marin Foodbank.
“Our mission to end hunger in Marin is particularly difficult because most people are not aware of food insecurity here,” says Bill Hansel of Appleberry Jam, who organized this event. “It’s not just homeless people but working families, seniors, and kids who receive help from the 450 partner organizations who distribute our food. It’s important to know that $1 donated to the Food Bank buys $6 worth of food since we have special arrangements to purchase unused food that would otherwise be wasted.”
