Remodelista and Gardenista at MCM

Finding yourself in a bind trying to get a gift for Mom this Mother’s Day? Don’t resign yourself (and her) to a Starbucks gift card you picked up at the Safeway checkout. Instead, head over to Marin Country Mart this weekend for the first Remodelista and Gardenista Market of the year. The Remodelista Markets are day-long shopping events that focus on quality home and lifestyle items such as clothing, accessories, botanical perfumes and more. About 40 local designers and creators will gather at Larkspur Landing to show and sell their goods that embody the Remodelista aesthetic — which is totally an enviable look.

Food has also been a component in past markets, so there’s a strong likelihood that you’ll encounter a few yummy food purveyors (read: trucks) while you’re there. Another highlight of the event is SF-based florist Baylor Chapman of Lila B. Baylor will on hand to demonstrate how to make living floral arrangements with succulents, moss, and flowering plants — and who doesn’t love a good succulent? You could make your own Living Arrangement at a DIY Bar with supplies and tools or buy a take-home kit for a fun activity with Mom. The choice is yours.
