20/20 Vision: Past, Present, Future [sponsored]

Join us on Saturday, September 24th, 6:30–10pm to enjoy the most exciting night of the year!

Twenty years ago, a group of residents began to fulfill a vision of using art to redevelop their community. Since then, Art Works Downtown has grown to become a thriving cultural staple that contributes inspiration to the lives of countless people in downtown San Rafael and beyond. To honor the past twenty years and to herald new visions for the future, Art Works Downtown invites you to celebrate our 20th year of connecting art with the community. It’s time for a party!

• Live music by headliner Danny Click and the Hell Yeahs!, guests Jerry Hannan and Shana Morrison, Just Friends, plus piano by Jeff Castro

• Delicious food provided by Green Chile Kitchen, Il Davide, Chaat Lotus Spices, Yet Wah, Sushi to Dai For, Vin Antico and more.

• Expect this event to be active and full of interesting art activities; a collage workshop to create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece, a surreal mask-making photo booth; a mobile arts platform where guests can "pull" their own art memento from silk-screens; and, a genuine fortune mystic who will reveal your future 20 years.

• The debut of the 20/20 Vision Exhibition in the 1337 Gallery. Learn about AWD’s past, and view over 50 affordable masterpieces created for this special celebration.
