Unforgettable Valentine’s Day in Tahoe

northstar california resort

Northstar invites skiers and snowboarders to tie the knot at the inaugural “Ski, tōst & be Married!” on Valentine’s Day. The on-the-mountain group ceremony is, by far, one of the most unique celebrations in the region. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, there will be a commemorative tōst on East Ridge that is open to all who would like to profess their love, renew vows, or become legally married.

Wedding participants should ski or ride down East Ridge run (just past the top of the Rendezvous chair lift by 1:45 p.m.). Northstar’s officiant will lead participants in an exchange of vows.

Following the ceremony, guests will share a tōst and photographers will capture the special occasion. Newlyweds will be celebrated at a reception with specials on signature cocktails from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the rink-side Cabana Bars, and the celebration continues until 8:30 p.m. with live music, ice skating and lounging by the glowing fire pits.

Those looking to be legally wed, should bring Placer County marriage licenses.

Northstar is located on Highway 267, just six miles north of Lake Tahoe and six miles south of historic downtown Truckee. For more information, call (800) 466-6784 or visit www.NorthstarCalifornia.com.
