Starting this month – through March – Hotel Healdsburg is offering Explorations in Sonoma Wine, this newly-launched package includes a tasting, dinner and customized wine education from Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen’s newly appointed wine director, Rolando Maldonado. With more than 600 wines offered on the Dry Creek Kitchen wine list, the exploration is endless.  

To complement the onsite tutorial, guests can enjoy exclusive experiences at area wineries throughout their visit arranged by Hotel Healdsburg’s expert concierge team. Les Clefs d’Or USA member and Chief Concierge, Tegan Wilson has formed strong relationships with surrounding wineries throughout her 12-year career at Hotel Healdsburg and has been known to arrange the gammet of experiences for guests from access to wineries otherwise closed to the public, private tours with the winemaker to simple complimentary tours and tastings, and cheese and wine plates for discounted prices for guests.  These perks have been offered at acclaimed wineries such as Lancaster, Copain, Jordan, Williams Selyem, Littorai Wines, and Kistler, just to name a few.  Known to loyal and returning guests as “Cousin Tegan,” Wilson has the insider tips on the next big winemaker, the winery that’s having the best season, and what winery will suit your palate – whether you’d like a value priced offering or are looking to add to your cellar of prized vintages.  As Wilson can tell you, “no itinerary is the same.

Mimi Towle has been the editor of Marin Magazine for over a decade. She lived with her family in Sycamore Park and Strawberry and thoroughly enjoyed raising two daughters in the mayhem of Marin’s youth sports; soccer, swim, volleyball, ballet, hip hop, gymnastics and many many hours spent at Miwok Stables. Her community involvements include volunteering at her daughter’s schools, coaching soccer and volleyball (glorified snack mom), being on the board of both Richardson Bay Audubon Center.
