Formed in 1986 in Denver, CO, by drummer Sid Davis and guitarist Todd Howell, the 40th Day earned accolades as one of the area’s best-loved indie rock bands. Throughout a decade-long career, and various incarnations, the group wrote and recorded prolifically, eventually releasing two critically acclaimed albums under the label Greenhaus Records. 40th Day garnered opening slots for bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Book of Love, Falling Joys, The Reivers, and Xymox, among others. In the 90’s, the band took their success on the road, showcasing at SXSW, Lollapalooza, and the legendary CBGB’s in New York City.
On October 8th, four original members and guest drummer Tony Morales of Sympathy F will reunite for a very special show at Fenix to benefit Ross Valley School District’s YES Foundation.
