Established Brands New to the Island
Four Seasons Resort at Koolina is opening midyear at the site of the former JW Marriott Ihilani Resort, making it the first Four Seasons property on the island.
Hilton Garden Inn on the island is set to take over the former Ohana Waikiki West. Design plans include a full-service restaurant and lounge, a grab-and-go market and an enhanced pool deck complete with a bar and grill and poolside cabanas.
Ritz-Carlton has also established itself in Waikiki with the new Ritz-Carlton Residences. The first tower is slated for completion in April.

Ilikai Hotel and Luxury Suites will unveil a new cocktail pool terrace this year, as well as a brand-new floor of luxury suites.
The swanky Modern Honolulu has some great deals, such as a $150 resort credit if you book directly with the property or the “Friends with Benefits” package.
Wines and bubbly are celebrated monthly at Kahala Hotel and Resort, featuring a new sommelier series headed by on-site sommelier Patrick Okubo, one of three on the islands.
Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort recently started offering guests a complimentary one-hour oceanfront yoga class every Saturday morning as part of its new “Wellness with a Twist” and “Oceanfront Indulgence” packages.
Mimi Towle has been the editor of Marin Magazine for over a decade. She lived with her family in Sycamore Park and Strawberry and thoroughly enjoyed raising two daughters in the mayhem of Marin’s youth sports; soccer, swim, volleyball, ballet, hip hop, gymnastics and many many hours spent at Miwok Stables. Her community involvements include volunteering at her daughter’s schools, coaching soccer and volleyball (glorified snack mom), being on the board of both Richardson Bay Audubon Center. Currently residing on a floating home in Sausalito, she enjoys all water activity, including learning how to steer a 6-person canoe for the Tamalpais Outrigger Canoe Club. Born and raised in Hawaii, her fondness for the islands has on occasion made its way into the pages of the magazine.
