I kept watching with some kind of awe as the kids flew up and down the ramps, in and out of bowls and did things that I wouldn't dare do now....or then. K-Man watched too. "I want to do that, daddy." Someday, kid. And, when you do, you'll apparently learn valuable lessons that no adults can...

But, I've often said, the parenting gods and golf gods are best of friends. And, just as you think to yourself after making a birdie putt that "golf is easy," you triple bogey the next few holes - so goes parenting. As soon as you think you've got it all dialed in...the kid gets a bloody nose.
Passing the Marathon Torch

Finally, after years of saying, "I want to run a marathon," I can now say, "I ran a marathon." It was brutal. San Antonio was unseasonably warm with 94 percent humidity. Training in Marin doesn't really prepare you for 94 percent humidity. It sucked. A lot.

Marin County Triathlon - Bank of Marin
Russ Colombo, President and CEO of Bank of Marin, participated along with several bank employees in the second annual Marin County Triathlon at McNear's Beach County Park in San Rafael. Several bank employees volunteered their time on the race course handing out water. All proceeds from the event went to Sunny Hills Services, Jenny's Light, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
