15 After nearly 30 years in the art industry, Donna Seager created a namesake gallery in downtown San Rafael in 2005. Since the doors opened to this space on Fourth Street, accomplished artists and serious collectors have called it home. The gallery hosts three to four events a month with exhibits ranging from figurative painting and ceramics to jewelry as fine art. However, Seager has also reserved a permanent place to celebrate the art of the book, where she showcases creative bindings and rare papers, all of which come together to create what Seager describes as “a single finely crafted opus.” It’s places like the Donna Seager Gallery that make Marin a welcome respite to artists of all ilks. donnaseagergallery.com
