24 If you wake up on an early Sunday morning thinking, Must get to the farmers’ market! you’re not alone — and with good reason. The year-round Civic Center Farmers’ Market — held in the Civic Center parking lot and in operation since 1987 — attracts some 200 local farmers, specialty food purveyors and artisans during its summer peak. No surprise, then, that it’s widely considered one of the finest in the state. Who couldn’t love the mix of quality meats and produce (much of it local), children’s entertainment, music and prepared foods? It’s a multitasker’s dream. Although the market is the Agricultural Institute of Marin’s largest and also the third largest in the state, come on down anyway; there’s always room for a few more. agriculturalinstitute.org
