They rent ragtops, then freeze on fogbound forays to Muir Woods. They shiver in their shorts. They gaze, gape-mouthed, at the organic menus of our favorite restaurants — and then order pizza. They get lost — a lot — in Mill Valley.

But, they come armed with euros and Chinese yuan and Korean won and even good ol’ greenbacks from Middle America and spread about $650 million of those around Marin every year, paying for thousands of local jobs.
