At San Domenico, we believe in surrounding students with dedicated teachers who treat them with respect and compassion. Peer into any of our classrooms, and you’ll see lively debates, well-considered discussions, hands-on learning, and engaged students working together. Small class sizes enable classrooms to become communities of active learning. The result: students are constantly making connections between curriculum and the real world as we balance 21st century academics with whole-child education. Our high school orchestra has been named Grand Champion at the National Orchestra Festival three times running and, in 2010, we became the first school in Marin to announce a 1-to-1 student iPad program.

Set on 500 acres in San Anselmo, we offer a coed day school pre-k through grade 8 and a high school day and boarding program for young women. Founded in 1850, we’re also proud to be California’s oldest independent school.
