Description

Whether you live locally or are visiting from out of town, Bluebird Yarn will delight and inspire your creative side. Come to Sausalito by ferry or car (free parking in Caledonia Neighborhood) and check us out. Stay and enjoy the surrounding shops, cafes & restaurants.

Bluebird Yarn is a full service knit shop. We offer group and private instruction. We are happy to help people of all abilities find a project that inspires them. We are here to provide creative inspiration, customer service, and technical help as you need it.

We have a bi-monthly social knit/crochet nights on the first and third Thursday of each month.

5:00- 7:00PM

Mirto Golino will head up the first Thursday and offer help in all your crochet projects. Sophie will host the third Thursday and help out with your knitting, crochet and yarn needs! KNITTERS AND CROCHETERS ARE WELCOME TO BOTH!

Bluebird Yarn was chosen as the Inspirational Store for Vogue Crochet's 2013 Collector's Issue!

We are going to honor the wonderful craft that is crochet with some free beginning crochet classes!

Tuesday May 7th 11-1 pm
Friday May 10th 1-3 pm
Wednesday May 22 6-8 pm

For the classes you will need a size 8 crochet hook and worsted weight yarn. Of course, if you do not have these we have them available for purchase here. You must sign up in advance. Call (415) 331-9276 to reserve a space!

Local Products

From Woolly Egg Farm on Tennessee Valley Rd comes 3 yarns. Each one is marked with the sheep and her friends that produce it (Saturday, Spot and Nina). There are 2 weights and 2 different colors.

Not only will you be supporting our local store but a local farm as well. Look for a farm field trip later this spring!
