New in Town

May business in Marin is feeling effortlessly cool, and I’m already getting ideas for ways to spend the summer. Mill Valley won big with its first-ever cocktail lounge: Corner Bar, serving eclectic small plates and cocktails in a sophisticated interior. Next is a win for the kid within all of us, with The Shack, a new ice cream parlor with sweets for all occasions in Larkspur. And for your big getaway, San Rafael’s Enterprise Rent-a-Car has got you covered with a fleet of exotic cars available to rent.

Greenbrae’s Bon Air Center got some additions this month, in the form of three new locations for tried-and-LOVED businesses in Marin. First, central Marin welcomes a franchise of Nick the Greek, which cooks top-notch Mediterranean fare like pita wraps, falafel and souvlaki. Second, Club Pilates’ new studio invites Pilates practitioners of all levels to try their courses of classic techniques and contemporary variations on the fitness discipline. Lastly, for all your business card and save-the-date needs, RAM Print & Communications set up its new location with copying, printing, book binding and mailing services.

And this is just a snapshot of Marin’s thriving food scene; we have also been busy this year shining the light on new hotels and other services, new art and cultural centers, shops and boutiques and beauty and wellness centers.
