Oakland Zoo Walk in the Wild

Enjoy an evening of live music, drinks and dining brought to you by some of the Bay Area’s top chefs and restaurants, regional beers and wines, and dancing at the Oakland Zoo’s largest annual fundraiser. All of the proceeds go directly to providing the highest quality animal care and exhibits, supporting the protection of endangered species worldwide and delivering impactful education programs that aim to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders. Festivities will include special appearances from the Zoo’s animal ambassadors, live music, specialty cocktails, and the opportunity to be among the first to ride the aerial gondola to the Kaiser Permanente Visitor Center & Restaurant. What better chance to discover some of the Bay Area’s finest epicurean offerings including items from over 100 bakeries, breweries, caterers, restaurants and wineries? No guests under 21 please.

Kasia Pawlowska

Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, Kasia moved to the States when she was seven. The San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Topics Kasia has covered include travel, trends, mushroom hunting, an award-winning series on social media addiction and loads of other random things. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or going to shows. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis. Her quest for the perfect chip is never-ending.
