Brixton Opens Second Location on 2nd Street
Going to Giants Games Just got a lot Better
There are few things more quintessentially American than baseball and rock ‘n’ roll — and now you can get your fix of both plus a winning food and drink menu served in a hip, upscale setting at Brixton on 2nd. Located next to Oracle Park, the newest Hat Trick Hospitality venture is fashioned in the same vein as the popular Cow Hollow outpost and more than double the size. Inside the sprawling space guests will find walls covered with iconic photography — The Rolling Stones and the Ramones among the frequently featured bands — classic posters and rustic chandeliers in addition to a menagerie of leather couches and printed rugs, all coalescing to create a comfy yet opulent vibe.
Rising Star Chef Banks White helms the culinary program and brings his experience at esteemed restaurants like FIVE in Berkeley and Auberge du Soleil to the table. White’s philosophy is rooted in the tradition of Southern hospitality looking through a Bay Area lens, using simple techniques to make food stand out, and showcasing finer touches and finesse that combine high-quality dining and approachable style. Alongside favorites like burgers and salads, White has concocted a bevy of new menu items including a Short Rib Grilled Cheese (with caramelized onions, smoked cheddar, frisee and wild baby arugula), Cacio de Pepe (with mafaldine pasta, Italian sausage, charred broccoli, pecorino and gremolata), and a decadent Skillet Butter Pound Cake with coconut-macadamia nut ice cream, inspired by his grandmother.
Also not to be missed the expansive outdoor patio, begging for both daytime imbibing and drinks at dusk. Here, and at the 24’ long bar, patrons can enjoy new cocktails like Ol’ Blue Eyes (with Sipsmith gin, pomegranate liqueur, simple syrup, lime) and Guns of Brixton (with single barrel Brixton bourbon, pUr Likor spice blood orange amaretto, lemon, simple syrup, angostura bitters, orange bitters). Stay tuned for a Bloody Mary Bar, with meats, cheeses and veggies, and hot sauce options that will be rolling out in the future.
Brixton on 2nd space also boasts two private dining rooms for more intimate affairs, a generous happy hour (3p.m. to 7p.m.!) and large tv’s for game days. A win-win for all. brixtonsf.com
