32 years ago Mary Welsh and Sandy Yoffie met for coffee. Members of the Buckelew Programs’ board of directors, they envisioned an evergreen event to sustain mental health and addiction recovery services while bringing care and compassion to the community. They created MarinScapes, a fine art show and sale supporting Buckelew Programs’ behavioral health services. Watch their story here.
2020 is the final year of this cultural treasure! Mary and Sandy offer up their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the dedicated Board Members, Executive Directors and CEOs, (past and present), the MarinScapes Committees, and all of the generous artists too numerous to mention, for standing side by side in support of Healthier Lives and Stronger Communities.
This year MarinScapes 2020 ~ The Grand Finale is going virtual. The online version of MarinScapes celebrates 32 years of Art That Changes Lives and Buckelew Programs’ 50th anniversary. Though we cannot gather together at Escalle as we always have (deep bow of thanks to Mary Tiscornia and Escalle), we can still celebrate community and art while raising critical funds for essential mental health, suicide prevention, recovery and homelessness services that our community needs, now more than ever.
