A BEAUTIFUL OKTOBERFEST
The festival that keeps the belle ville of Marin blooming is back for its 26th year!
On Saturday, October 12th at Menke Park, Oktoberfest Corte Madera will bring together community and friends for another robust round of cheery tastings, local restaurant gourmet eats, delectable treats and fun kid activities to the heartbeat of oompah, big band, jazz and blues live music. Festivities are from 12 to 5 pm. Online tickets are now available.
This year features some old favorites like Moylan’s, Marin Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada and Lost Coast, plus an amazing assortment of other craft and home-brewed beers, wines, mead, ciders and kombucha. New participants to watch out for: Gowan’s, a premium award-winning hard cider, and Henhouse, a fast-growing favorite for unique flavored beer. Boochcraft Hard Kombucha, also a big contender, will pour their “kombucha beer” with probiotic benefits. A ‘gluten-reduced’ beer is also coming.
An amazing assortment of food and dessert options complement the robust tasting menu, with paella, sausages and bratwurst, and other popular tasty bites from local restaurants and nonprofit organizations. Fabulous entertainment completes the festival vibe with live performances from mainstays Corte Madera Town Band and the Grand Isle Fire Brigade Band. The festival also welcomes the Redwood Music performance and jazz bands to showcase their amazing talents to the community.
The festival has a dedicated small area for young guests, complete with a bouncy house, lawn games, arts & crafts tables as well as treats for sale. Kids under 12 years enter for free, but needs to be with a paying adult at all times. No pets are allowed in the festival.
Proceeds go towards the beautification and maintenance of Corte Madera’s parks and public open space for the health and enjoyment of the town’s residents and visitors.
