Tuesday Morning Lujong (Tibetan Yoga) and Meditation

Meditation is a way to calm the mind and allow our natural deep well of serenity, love and wisdom to flourish in our hearts. minds and in our daily lives. But we all know it is not easy to sit quietly. To do so we need to have harmony between our body and mind, to be grounded in the present moment, and to feel stable, confident and whole.
Lujong, Tibetan yoga, has been designed over centuries to provide that strength from within, and to support physical, mental and emotional well-being. The exercises in lujong influence our entire system from the physical to the most subtle and profound.
Usually done in the intensive three-year retreat for the most advanced practitioners, we offer at Sukhasiddhi a modified form developed by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche for his Western students. It is an enlivening practice, designed to uncoil the knots in our energy system and open the energy flows of the body. It is done in standing positions, so needs no special equipment or mats, and can be either vigorous or gentle, depending on the needs of your body.
The Tuesday morning class will begin with approximately 40 minutes of lujong, followed by quiet meditation with instruction or guidance as needed.
Drop-in’s are welcome. No prerequisites. This class is offered for beginners as well as ongoing meditators who want support in establishing a daily practice.
