Take to the Hills to Forage for Mushrooms

Interested in foraging? We talked with fungi expert Kevin Sadlier of Green Jeans in Mill Valley about where you can find some mushroom species in Marin, as well as the best times to go out and what you might do with your haul. Just remember: many mushrooms are poisonous. Before consuming anything you cull from the wild, consult an expert or bring the ’shroom to the Mill Valley Public Library on the third Wednesday of the month when the Mycological Society of Marin meets.
