Go on a Magical Adventure

Now playing at the SHN Orpheum Theatre: Finding Neverland

The classic tale of Peter Pan is one we are all told as children, whether it’s told by our parents or by watching the Disney film. We believe that the magic is real and that we all have a fairy friend named Tinkerbell. But have you ever wondered how Peter Pan became the enchanting story it is? Enter Finding Neverland.

Based on the Academy Award-winning film starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, the Broadway production takes the story to a whole other level. With beautiful songs that enhance the story, we learn how playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration for a new play in London until he meets four young brothers and their widowed mother one day at Kensington Gardens. Captivated by the brothers’ make-believe adventures – and using them as inspiration – he sets out to write a play.

Taking a chance and convincing his producer that what he will write will be a hit, Barrie takes a leap of faith. Finding his inner child, Barrie recalls a land that he dreamt up as a young boy: Neverland. With a bit of pixie dust and a lot of adventures and imagination, Barrie leaves his old world for Neverland.

Winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for Best Musical, Finding Neverland is truly an enchanting musical, captures the kid-at-heart in all of us and is a definite must-see this theatre season.
