Great Chefs and Wineries Gala

The act of giving back is a rewarding feeling in it of itself, yet there are several opportunities throughout the year that sweeten the spirit of charity even more – one of them is taking place this weekend when Lifehouse hosts its major fundraising event, the Great Chefs and Wineries gala. The event, which will be held at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap Golf Club, takes place on Saturday, April 16, and benefits the nonprofit organization. Lifehouse has been dedicated to providing support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin since 1954, and this event alone brought in more than half a million dollars to the organization last year.

Ok, so now for the extra sweet part. As a patron you’ll get to enjoy extensive offerings from many of the most most notable chefs in the county, including Buckeye Roadhouse’s Robert Price and Balboa Cafe’s Howard Ko – here’s the full list. Insalata’s Chef Heidi Krahling will serve as the event’s culinary host and Sid Sall will be the wine committee chair. Huey Lewis is this year’s honorary chair for the event and Bay Area “Foodie Chap” Liam Mayclem from CBS 5 will emcee. Come enjoy fine wines from more than 50 wineries, take part in the silent and live auctions for your chance to win trips and gifts and get down to the sounds of Evolution – The Ultimate Tribute to Journey.
