Great Dickens Christmas Fair
First question: do you love the holiday season? Follow up: do you occasionally wish you were born in Dickens-era London? If you answered yes to either of these questions, or if you simply enjoy a good time, you need to visit the Great Dickens Christmas Fair immediately.
The Cow Palace is transformed into a slice of jolly London town, complete with lamp-lit lanes teeming with impossible-to-break actors dressed in full Victorian garb — costumes for patrons are optional, but trust us, blending in is part of the fun.
Apothecaries, pubs, crafting corners, and shops boasting everything from antiquarian books to one-of-a-kind jewelry line the “streets.” Fezziwig’s Warehouse plays host to the best Christmas party in town, with dancing, drinking and general frivolity. The Adventurers’ Club features Brits telling tales of accomplishments in military, literature and science. Father Christmas is available for photos, and Tiny Tim is around here somewhere. Bring the whole family and prepare to lose track of time celebrating the holidays of yesteryear.
