About the Gala:
Side by Side (formerly Sunny Hills Services) set a new record with this year’s Reach for the Stars gala, raising close to $200K for the 123-year-old nonprofit. Energy was at an all-time high too, with over 215 guests attending, decked out in Deco-era attire for the Speakeasy-themed event, held at a sprawling private estate. After an epic live auction and fund-a-need, expertly emceed by Senator Mike McGuire, guests boogied with feather dancers under the moon.
The event raised close to $200,000, setting a new record for the annual fundraiser, with all proceeds from gala going directly to support the children and young people across all Side by Side programs and regions. From therapeutic housing to substance abuse treatment to an LGBTQ drop-in center, Side by Side provides the safe space too many young people have missed in their lives.
