Looking Back: Celebrities at the Mill Valley Film Festival Over the Years

Since its inception in 1978, the Mill Valley Film Festival has built a reputation based on it’s high-quality selections. Because of this, the festival has grown to be among the more prestigious and longest running in the country. But aside from being an Oscar breeding ground, it’s always been a prime place for spotting stars in October.

Even though this year won’t be quite the same, we will at least still get a lot of chances to see famous faces while streaming or at the drive-in. From Amy Adams and Nicole Kidman to Mahershala Ali and Timothée Chalamet, here are just some of the big names who have visited Marin over the years.

Kasia Pawlowska

Kasia Pawlowska loves words. A native of Poland, Kasia moved to the States when she was seven. The San Francisco State University creative writing graduate went on to write for publications like the San Francisco Bay Guardian and KQED Arts among others prior to joining the Marin Magazine staff. Topics Kasia has covered include travel, trends, mushroom hunting, an award-winning series on social media addiction and loads of other random things. When she’s not busy blogging or researching and writing articles, she’s either at home writing postcards and reading or going to shows. Recently, Kasia has been trying to branch out and diversify, ie: use different emojis. Her quest for the perfect chip is never-ending.
